London public transport sign rebooting

Seems to have a modem in it. After about 5 minutes it managed to get an IP, which was partly masked (number changed to “xxx”).

Those signs are usually equipped with a gprs modem

  2. Yeri Tiete says:

Is there any additional info known about these devices? OS?

  3. Filip says:

Those devices tend to have a non-x86 CPU, flash storage, a ROM with embeded OS (custom linux/(net)bsd variation) and a gprs modem for data retrieval.
