This time a Nexus 7 (with 3G). This is the first generation, but still running the latest version of Android (Kitkat, 4.4.2 – and rumoured to get the 4.4.3 update soon). It’s the 32Gb version (~27.5Gb of usable space). This device was bought in the US of A, as the 3G version was (or is) not for sale in Europe.

I’m selling it because I don’t have enough use cases for a tablet. It’s great on a plane, it’s great on a train… But I don’t fly as often anymore, and I certainly never take the train. And in many cases I just use my laptop instead (I’m too much of a power user for a tablet, I’m afraid).

I haven’t used them in 4-5 years, as I outgrew them and I wanted real skis again. But they’ve seen quite a few slopes when I was younger.

They are definitely in need of some waxing and sharpening, which would cost around ~€20 in any decent ski shop.

Basically, it’s four screw you can easily drill in a wall (using a paper plan/mold, you know the correct distance depending on your display mounting system). 4 others are screwed in the display, and you then click them together. This is more easily done if you’re two (I don’t encourage doing this alone ;)).

This solution comes with pretty much every size of screw you’ll need, so it’s a one box-fits-all solution.

Lately I’ve been using them to keep my doors open (when it’s windy or when my Roomba is cleaning the place).

For sale: two TP-Link WA7510N (5Ghz). These devices are about a year old, and served for about 10 months to provide internet from my apartment to a neighbouring building in Antwerp.

Because our office moved (all space got rent), internet is no longer required. Right now, I do not have a use-case for these devices (although, it was pretty cool, and I wish I could keep using them somehow).

For the past 10 months, except for some water in the UTP cable, this has been working perfectly, with a good and stable ping.

While I used them for Point-to-Point WiFi, they can be used in a wide variety of modes, including regular AP, etc. Just remember, they run at 5Ghz.

This is a 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo device, with 2Gb RAM. It has a 160Gb SATA drive, spinning at 7200rpm. It’s an Azerty keyboard.

It’s currently running Mavericks (10.9.x).

The Macbook Pro is slightly scratched here and there from normal use. The battery got replaced about 2 years ago (it’s still a removable battery). The right speaker sometimes cracks a bit and the DVD RW has trouble reading rewrite-able media and too modern CDs/DVDs (audio CDs for example are fine) (known bug from this DVD reader).

I’m selling about 100 DWA-160 D-Link USB WiFi adapters (Atheros).

These are compatible with Raspberry Pi and do not require an external power source. And are obviously compatible with Linux (firmware-linux-free).

Some of these adapters are new, others are used. Two different generation mixed (see the WPS button in the picture).

These adapters can be used in Master (Acces Point) mode using hostapd, but certain Macbook Pro’s (Broadcom driver afaik) make the driver/firmware crash; last time I checked (1.5 year ago) this bug was known but not solved (yet).

For sale: a Macbook Air 13" (2011), 4Gb RAM, 128Gb SSD, QWERTY (!).

The MBA got acquired mid 2011 in Hong Kong by Candy.

Downside: the screen got cracked about a year ago during travel. After a couple of months it started to bleed, but has been stable now for over 6 months. Screen can be replaced for ~€400 at an Apple Repair Center or DIY for ~€100-200 via Alibaba.

Macbook has been used for a year like this. Can be used with external display as well.

Comes with the original adapter and battery is working fine.
